OPERATIONS MANAGER


ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Operations Manager at Be Aveda Institutes, you play a critical leadership role in ensuring the daily operations of the institute run smoothly while supporting an exceptional educational and guest experience.


This position bridges operational excellence, guest care, and student success. The Operations Manager ensures that systems, scheduling, retail operations, and guest flow are aligned to support the hands-on training students need to develop their technical skills.


Through leadership, coaching, and operational oversight, you help maintain the service standards and educational environment in alignment with Be Aveda Institute standards.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE & "OUR WHY"

  • Provide elevated mentoring and leadership to Retail Advisors on exceptional guest service
  • Our Why: Retail teams are the first impression for every guest and student entering the building. Maintaining Aveda service standards ensures an elevated and welcoming learning environment.
  • Drive community engagement and coordinate in-house events to increase guest count and drive retail walk in sales
  • Our Why: Students' hands-on technical ability and skillset depend on consistently building new guest relationships and service opportunities.
  • Manage and optimize Zenoti appointment books
  • Our Why: Student hands-on experience is directly tied to maximizing guest appointments and availability.
  • Serve as the Guest Care Aveda expert
  • Our Why: Promote Aveda product launches and lead education sessions for team members and students to reinforce product knowledge and brand standards.
  • Oversee inventory management including weekly and bi-weekly retail and backbar ordering, cycle counts, and inventory adjustments (including student supplies)
  • Our Why: Ensuring students always have the necessary supplies aligned with curriculum needs while maintaining responsible inventory management within budget guidelines.
  • Provide support as an Admissions tour backup when needed

  • Create and manage Retail Advisor schedules

TRAINING OVERVIEW & GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
