Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the church office. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining correspondence, reports, records, and official church documents; answering and directing phone calls; managing files and mail distribution; maintaining the church website; compiling and analyzing data; creating and distributing the weekly church bulletin and newsletters; preparing presentations and other communications; coordinating meetings and events; and providing courteous assistance to members, visitors, and ministry leaders while maintaining the confidentiality of church records.
Skills, Education, and Experience Required:

  • Two or more years applicable office experience in similar job duties preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advance computer skills: (Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook), organized and attentive to detail, self-directed and motivated.
  • Must possess the ability to interact and communicate with persons of diverse backgrounds and work well under pressure. Absolute confidentiality required.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports, statements, meeting agendas, and minutes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Design and produce the weekly church newsletter using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Coordinate meetings, maintain calendars, and schedule church events.
  • Welcome and assist members, visitors, and guests in a courteous, professional, and Christ-centered manner. Collect, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail on a daily basis.
  • Compile and organize content for the weekly church bulletin.
  • Submit the finalized church bulletin to the webmaster for online publication.
  • Distribute the weekly church bulletin to shut-ins and other designated recipients.
  • Assist the Worship Coordinator by sending weekly reminders and communications to program participants.
  • Prepare, proofread, and distribute correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and other official communications in a timely and accurate manner.
