Job description

*Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5am - 5pm

About the Role

As Operations Manager, you will provide store service by coordinating merchandise processing from the vendor through the Distribution Network. You will manage the day-to-day execution of overall business strategies and productivity measures.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage workflow of several departments in conjunction with individual department Supervisors to meet planned units per hour, cost per unit, level of service and accuracy standards

  • Effectively manage staffing to meet UPH and CPU goals

  • Develop and maintain accuracy standards to ensure unit inventory integrity 

  • Responsible for the prompt, efficient and accurate processing of merchandise, customer order selection and delivery through the Distribution Network

  • Coordinate and communicate changes and updates in process and procedures

  • Work with other departments and divisions to resolve problems and ensure efficient service 

  • Manage direct reports, systems, and projects to achieve unit goals per Kohl’s policies and procedures

  • Prepare and analyze unit plans and reporting

  • Provide leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, driving results

  • Create an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining open communications 

  • Develop staff through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments and establishing performance and development plans 

  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree

  • Multiple years of related experience including direct supervision experience in distribution, production/operations management, warehouse management or related field

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Working knowledge of automated distribution/warehouse management systems, Windows and Microsoft Office

  • Flexibility in hours to support multi-shift operation
