Experienced Production Operations Specialist

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Production Operations Specialist in Oklahoma City, OK!

The Experienced Production Operations Specialist will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. In this role, you will define production activities, resolve issues of limited scope, investigate product defects and production inefficiencies, and develop solutions to reduce or mitigate recurrence. You will also review and approve technical documents, analyze charging trends, support staffing forecasts, and assist with capital expenditure and equipment implementation activities.

This position serves as a primary interface with internal customers, translating data into actionable plans for implementation within the organization. The ideal candidate will lead projects, participate in research efforts related to proposed initiatives, and compile management status reports for corrective and preventive actions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes to support production needs and operational objectives
  • Define production activities and resolve problems of limited scope
  • Investigate product defects and production inefficiencies and develop corrective and preventive solutions
  • Review and approve technical documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Analyze charging trends and develop projected staffing forecasts
  • Assist in the preparation and justification of major capital expenditures and equipment implementation
  • Lead projects and participate in research related to proposed projects
  • Serve as the primary interface with internal customers to coordinate needs and expectations
  • Translate data into actionable implementation plans within the organization
  • Compile and provide management status reports for corrective and preventive action

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience developing and implementing process improvement initiatives in manufacturing or production processes
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing data, identifying issues and making recommendations for improvements associated with a value stream that resulted in change and improved business position
  • Ability to investigate, define, and resolve complex issues using methodical approach to issue definition and resolution
  • Experience communicating technical details clearly and concisely with customers and cross functional teams
  • Experience in project management for small and large projects

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 1+ Experience supporting staffing analysis, capital planning, or equipment implementation
  • Familiarity with corrective and preventive action processes
  • Experience serving as a point of contact for internal customers and stakeholders
  • Coordinate resources to enhance operational efficiency
