Job Summary:
CAPS & Maple City is an organization dedicated to Supporting healthy, safe, and thriving children and families by providing quality, comprehensive services to all.
The Controller supports the mission and values of CAPS & Maple City by working closely with the CFO and VP for Finance on accounting and reporting tasks in accordance with organizational mission and policies. We are looking for a talented and motivated individual who is passionate about health care and is eager to contribute to a collaborative team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory and compliance matters of various federal, state, and local organizations
  • Grant financial management
  • Billing support
  • Payroll processing oversight
  • Miscellaneous financial tasks, including assisting with annual budget, monthly financial reporting and cost reporting
  • Other duties that support our shared work, as assigned

Requirements
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organized: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently with solid follow through
  • Demonstrated ability with technology and systems; proficiency with Microsoft Office products, accounting systems and database management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; good communicator

Education and Experience:
  • Accounting Degree required
  • Minimum 2 years accounting experience

Requirements:
  • Ability to perform considerable time sitting, reaching
  • Occasional travel between health center sites
