Job Description

About the Team: The Production Control Supervisor supports manufacturing operations by developing and optimizing production plans, material flow, logistics processes, and information flow across machining and assembly areas. This role partners closely with Operations, Logistics, IT, customers, and suppliers to help ensure reliable delivery, accurate inventory, stable production schedules, and continuous improvement across the shop floor and supply chain. The position also provides leadership, coaching, scheduling support, and performance management for assigned employees.

What you can look forward to as a Production Control Supervisor:

  • Create, optimize, and maintain production schedules while considering capacity, resources, cycle times, SAP/IT systems, and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate production planning, launch, change management, and logistics activities across machining, assembly, operations, IT, and logistics teams.
  • Monitor material availability, stock levels, inventory accuracy, packaging concerns, data flow issues, and supplier/customer requirements.
  • Use SAP, EDI, MRP, and related tools to track stock, manage material flow, update master data, and communicate internal and external demand.
  • Analyze root causes, bottlenecks, KPIs, workflows, and process gaps to define corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve logistics processes, procedures, information flow, work instructions, reporting, and documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison with internal and external customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support delivery reliability and business conduct standards.
  • Supervise, coach, train, schedule, and manage employee performance, labor utilization, timecards, development, and compliance with company policies.

Your profile as a Production Control Supervisor:

  • Bachelor's degree required and 6-8+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, production control, logistics, materials planning, or a related area.
  • Understanding of production scheduling systems, MRP, ERP systems, SAP, EDI, and manufacturing material flow.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, product flow, customer requirements, and supplier/customer relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service skills, and English language competency.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed, to meet customer and production requirements.
