JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Supervisor will support the necessary processes and procedures that ensure all products meet customer and company, engineering and quality requirements. Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application of quality standards, inspection test plans for manufacturing processes, materials, products and assemblies. Schedule and manage QC inspectors engaged in measuring, inspecting, testing products.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved Engineering specifications.

  • Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the Engineering requirements and the quality standards.
  • Work with Sales, Production Control and Engineering on customer required documentation packages and Inspection Test plans.
  • Communicate with Suppliers and Customers resolving quality issues or quality concerns.
  • Investigations of internal and external product discrepancies.
  • Work with manufacturing to solve in-house quality concerns, reviews of Nonconforming product reports and recommends disposition.
  • Root cause analysis and implementation of correction action for process related concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned by the QC Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in fast paced QA manufacturing environment.
  • This is not a lab-based quality position, candidate must have industrial quality experience.
  • ISO 9001 preferred but not required.
  • Ability to use basic inspection measuring devices and equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of welding and AWS D1.1 specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of metals and machining processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to talk and hear frequently.
  • Required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to use close vision, distance vision, and adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in an environment with low to moderate noise levels.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs.
