Job description

About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company. We free people and agents to ship what's next.
For more than a decade, Vercel has shaped how the web is built. As the team behind Next.js, v0, and AI SDK, we create products that help builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now, software is entering a new era, and the next generation of products will not just be used by people. They will be built, extended, and operated by agents.
We are building the platform for that future, trusted by companies like OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide. Whether you're building our products, supporting our customers, growing our community, or shaping our story, you'll help define what comes next.
About the Role:
We're looking for a leader to build and run Vercel's Product Strategy & Operations function from the ground up. This is a senior, cross-functional role that sits at the heart of the EPD organization and works in close partnership with the CPO, EPD Leads, GTM leadership, and Finance.
You will own three things above all else: the rigor that makes our high-velocity shipping machine sustainable, the measurement infrastructure that tells us whether our products are succeeding after they launch, and the planning systems that keep our roadmap and revenue plan sharp, funded, and aligned across the company.
This is a strategic leadership position for someone who thinks deeply about product markets and business models, builds world-class operating systems, and uses data to drive decisions that matter.
If you're based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. If you're located beyond that distance, the role is fully remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team.
What You Will Do:
  • Own the EPD rhythm of business: weekly operating reviews, monthly business reviews, planning cycles, and roadmap processes - building minimum viable process for each.
  • Run the ShipOps function to enable Launch Calendar reviews and Vercel's high velocity "You Can Just Ship Things" approach.
  • Establish a "product landing" framework - a structured post-launch process that goes beyond the ship date to ensure new features and products are actually adopted, drive the intended business outcomes, and generate learnings that feed the next iteration.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Marketing teams to set targets, make plans and execute tactics that drive deal pipeline creation, and user launches and ramps.
  • Develop and maintain competitive intelligence systems that give product leaders a continuously updated view of the market landscape.
  • Partner with Data Engineering and Data Science to ensure the analytical infrastructure (data pipelines, warehouse models, tooling) supports the speed of analysis our business requires.
  • Partner with EPD leads to maintain team health, capacity visibility, and resource allocation so that the right bets are properly staffed and execution risk is surfaced early.
About You:
  • 8+ years in product operations, business operations, strategy, or a closely adjacent function inside a high-growth technology company.
  • Ability to understand complex, technical products and articulate their value to non-technical audiences.
  • Deep familiarity with the full software development lifecycle - you understand how EPD teams plan, build, and ship, and have experience improving those processes.
  • Passion for structuring and solving highly ambiguous strategic problems and owning end-to-end execution of solutions.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects with multiple functional stakeholders.
  • Past experience working at the intersection of product and go-to-market teams in a software company.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with multiple, cross-functional stakeholders, including users.
Bonus If You:
  • Background in developer tooling, cloud infrastructure, or platform products - you understand the Vercel customer and can speak credibly about the space.
  • Frequently build your own agents to support workflows and data analyses
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package, including equity.
  • Inclusive Healthcare Package.
  • Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
  • Flexible Time Off.
  • We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $232,000 - $348,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role. Your recruiter can share more details during the hiring process.
