Job description

About Wunderkind:

Wunderkind is a leading performance marketing engine that helps brands and publishers drive truly personalized, high-performing experiences across owned and paid channels. We pair deep identity, powerful AI, and scaled media to unlock performance that brands can't get anywhere else.

We continue to invest in display advertising and are now investing heavily in expanding our display ads product suite - and we're looking for a Principal Product Manager to define and drive that vision.

Role Overview

We're hiring a Principal Product Manager to own the end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and execution for Wunderkind's next-generation advertising offerings.

In this role, you will:

  • Define the vision and strategy for how Wunderkind ads - from ad formats and targeting to measurement and optimization.
  • Partner deeply with engineering, data science, sales, client success, and partnerships to bring differentiated ads solutions to market.
  • Act as the internal and external thought leader for advertising: shaping our point of view, informing GTM, and representing Wunderkind with clients and partners.
  • Drive meaningful revenue impact, advertiser performance, and product differentiation in a fast-moving, highly competitive space.

This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role for a product leader who loves complex ad ecosystems, cares deeply about customer outcomes, and can operate at both strategy and execution levels. This role reports directly to the VP of Product and will shape a key strategic pillar of the company's growth in 2026 and beyond.

What You'll OwnProduct Strategy & Vision
  • Develop and continuously refine the multi-year product vision and strategy for Wunderkind's advertising products.
  • Define where we play and how we win: inventory sources, identity strategy, targeting and optimization capabilities, measurement, and creative.
  • Create a clear, opinionated product roadmap that balances foundational capabilities, experimentation, and strategic bets.
Product Discovery & Customer Understanding
  • Spend time with advertisers, agencies, and partners to deeply understand their goals, workflows, and constraints.
  • Identify and quantify customer problems and opportunities across targeting, pacing, frequency, attribution, and incrementality.
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into clear product hypotheses, requirements, and experiments.
Execution & Delivery
  • Work closely with engineering, data, and design to deliver high-quality capabilities on time and with measurable impact.
  • Write crisp PRDs / specs, define success metrics, and ensure we ship iterative, learn-fast increments rather than big-bang releases.
  • Partner with data science to design experiments, test new optimization strategies, and measure performance lift over baselines.
Go-to-Market & Commercial Impact
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and client success to define packaging, pricing, positioning, and enablement for advertising offerings.
  • Support key client conversations as the product expert for Ads and help unlock/scale strategic deals.
  • Monitor product performance, adoption, and revenue - and rapidly adjust the roadmap to maximize business and client impact.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Align stakeholders, making tradeoffs, and keeping everyone focused on outcomes.
  • Drive alignment with other product areas (identity, measurement, creative, AI/optimization) to ensure Ads is tightly integrated into the broader Wunderkind platform.
  • Mentor PMs and help raise the bar on product quality, rigor, and execution across the org.
What Success Looks Like

In your first 12-18 months, success looks like:

  • A clear, well-understood Ads product strategy and roadmap that the org believes in and can execute against.
  • Launched and scaled Ads capabilities that deliver measurable improvements in advertiser performance (e.g., ROAS, incrementality, reach quality, retention).
  • Strong adoption and revenue contribution from Ads offerings, with clear proof points and case studies.
  • Deep trust from engineering, GTM teams, and leadership as the go-to person for Ads.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years in product management, with significant time in programmatic & advertising technology
  • Proven track record of:
  • Owning product strategy and roadmap for a complex, multi-stakeholder product.
  • Driving 01 and 1N product development, not just incremental feature work.
  • Delivering products that show clear, quantifiable business impact.
  • Experience at:
  • An ad tech company (DSP, SSP, platform, or publisher).
  • Experience integrating with:
  • Major inventory sources and streaming platforms.
  • Identity partners, clean rooms, or measurement providers.

Desired Qualifications

  • Deep ad tech fluency - you understand how impressions get bought/sold, how identity works in ads, the role of clean rooms, and what makes targeting/measurement actually work.
  • AI literacy - you orchestrate and build AI systems that elevate how you work.
  • Strong product judgment - you can quickly cut through noise, identify what matters, and make hard tradeoffs.
  • Analytical and data-driven - comfortable with experimentation, measurement, and digging into metrics with data teams.
  • Excellent communicator - you can move seamlessly between executive-level storytelling, technical depth with engineering, and practical value framing for sales and clients.
  • Highly collaborative - you bring people along, listen well, and can drive alignment across product, engineering, and GTM.
  • Bias to action - you are comfortable making decisions with imperfect information and iterating quickly.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Background working with AI/ML optimization in bidding, pacing, or creative decisioning.
Location & Work Setup
  • Location: Based in the US or Canada.
  • Remote: Fully remote friendly.
  • Preference: New York City or ability to spend meaningful time with teams in NYC is a strong plus.
How to Apply

If you're excited about building the next generation of advertising products and want to do it with a team that cares deeply about performance, experimentation, and craft, we'd love to hear from you.

Please apply via our careers page and include a brief note on:

  • An ad product you're most proud of
  • The measurable impact it had
  • Your specific role in making it successful

The base salary range for this role is $210,000 to $260,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each specific candidate; including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, applicable certifications, and geographic work location. This may vary depending on living location and market rate.
