Job description

Amazon Autos is building the end-to-end vehicle buying experience on Amazon. We launched in the consumer-experience era; we are now redesigning for the AI era, and every surface (shopping, advertising, dealer intelligence, attribution, in-store) has to be rethought for what AI now makes possible. This role owns the AI product strategy and the new AI-native surfaces for Amazon Autos, in an area where the problem, the opportunity, and the strategy are not yet defined.

You set a 3-5 year vision, prove the highest-impact wedges with working prototypes, and drive Ads, Discovery, Data and Science, and Dealer Experience teams to adopt AI-native patterns at scale. Your impact comes from influence without authority across many organizations, carried by narratives that earn decisions in rooms up to the SVP level.
Key job responsibilities
Own the Autos AI strategy and its 3-5 year vision. Author decision narratives that set organizational direction and go to Directors, VPs, and SVPs

Drive the AI parts of planning. Own the product strategy for AI discovery and agentic shopping: Alexa Shopping Assistant and agent experiences that reshape how customers find and buy vehicles. Ship working AI prototypes that move from concept to artifact in weeks, using the prototype as the specification.

Drive Discovery, Ads, Data and Science, and Dealer Experience teams to adopt AI-native patterns, and build alignment across organizations that hold different priorities. Establish frameworks the org uses to decide build, integrate, or wait on AI investments. Model the AI-augmented way of working for the PM community; mentor and coach, and contribute to Principal PM assessments.
A day in the life
You start reviewing the last prototype's telemetry: retrieval quality on a hard shopping query, model latency, dealer signal in the response

You walk into a Director review with a working AI agent, not a slide deck; the demo settles the debate. You spend an afternoon in a whiteboard session with a principal engineer, pushing on architecture trade-offs. You end the day writing a two-pager naming the AI wedge for the next quarter and land it in your manager's inbox.

You publish a working prototype to a small dealer cohort, and watch what customers actually do.
About the team
Amazon Autos is building the end-to-end vehicle buying experience on Amazon, from research and discovery through purchase, financing, and delivery. Our team combines product, engineering, science, and dealer partnerships to make Amazon the best place to find and buy a car. We move fast, prototype constantly, and treat AI as a first-class capability across every surface

The team uses AI to build AI: prototype-as-spec, AI-accelerated delivery. Small team, very large surface area, real autonomy, and a clear opportunity for growth.
