Hudson Deep Draw in Ormond Beach, Florida is looking for a Process Engineer to join our team.  


Design, implement and optimize manufacturing methods to increase productivity, improve process capability and lower costs.

Requirements

Optimize the manufacturing processes to achieve the expected throughput and capability requirements

Identify waste and eliminate variation within all manufacturing processes using methodologies such as lean, six sigma, TPM and TQM

Financially quantify the waste discovered and submit business proposals that can be accepted and managed using project management best practices

Identify and implement waste prevention and detection methods using process failure mode and effects analysis tools to reduce RPN's (risk priority number)

Support the manufacturing processes evaluating, designing and building processes for optimal flow

Design washing, machine, and manufacturing fixtures that enable operations to successfully transfer material between processes

Test and validate packaging standards to reduce and/or eliminate damage when moving product

Using value stream mapping to identify and evaluate flow between processes

Reduce labor cost by decreasing cycle times and decreasing WIP (work in process)

Lead the teams by implementing safety/ Ergo improvements

Design improved floor layouts

Developing work instructions & operator standard work to achieve disciplined and repeatability in all processes

Drive the engineering requirements to completion by building robust manufacturing processes during New Product Development

Support the NPD teams by assessing TAKT time and completing solid reviews of current state-run rates to achieve profitability

Perform tooling checks to verify tooling condition and readiness

Updating User Manuals to Latest Engineering Specifications

Utilize Design of Experiments and other engineering tools to identify process variable relationships and optimize the outcomes

Participates as a member of the Engineering Team. 

Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies. 

Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. 

Attends appropriate team meetings. 

As a member of the Manufacturing Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, 

 annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. 

Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas of lack of cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the 

leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues affecting cohesiveness. 

Actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy within the larger organization.


Experience   Requirements

Technical Experience: Experience with APQP, PFMEA, SPC, Metrology,   Blueprints, and Control Plans.

Industry   Experience:  5+ years in a MFG environment.

Educational   Requirements 

BS in Manufacturing, Industrial,   Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 

Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
