POSITION SUMMARY:ย 

Responsible for providing innovative ideas that help increase production, reduce costs and improve quality while keeping safety and environment in mind.ย 

REPORTING TO:ย 

Position reports to the Plant Manager.ย 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 

  • Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and support teams to identify process issues, root causes, and improvement opportunities.ย 

  • Collect, analyze, and maintain key process performance data and databases.ย 

  • Prepare technical reports, statistical analyses, and graphical data representations, including process capability studies and standard deviation analysis.ย 

  • Partner with cross-functional departments to identify and control critical process variables that ensure product quality and consistency.ย 

  • Design and conduct trials and experiments to validate process improvements and operational theories.ย 

  • Monitor manufacturing performance, including roll weight, thickness, granular adhesion, roll length, downtime, scrap, and waste, ensuring compliance with established process parameters.ย 

  • Analyze process data and recommend equipment modifications, process adjustments, and standard operating procedure improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and reliability.ย 

  • Improve data collection, recordkeeping, and documentation practices to support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.ย 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven decision making and problem-solving methodologies.ย 

  • Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, work instructions, and process control documentation.Support and promote adherence to quality management systems, policies, procedures, and company standards.ย 

  • Evaluate process performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.ย 

  • Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and tasks to meet operational objectives.ย 

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:ย 

  • Bachelor's degree required.ย 

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.ย 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.ย 

  • Ability to prepare reports and present information effectively.ย 

  • Experience managing moderately complex projects.ย 

  • Proven ability to build and maintain internal and external customer relationships.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:ย 

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.ย 

  • Experience with SAP and/or AS-400 preferred.ย 

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.ย 

  • Understanding of MRP and production scheduling is preferred.ย 

  • Six Sigma certification or experience a plus.ย 

  • Knowledge of product lines, manufacturing processes, and production/laboratory equipment preferred.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:ย 

  • Location: Winter Haven, FL

  • Split between office and manufacturing environments.ย 

  • Exposure to dust, moderate noise, automated manufacturing equipment, and varying temperatures.ย 

  • Must be able to work around hot asphalt tanks, lines, and pumps as needed.ย 

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally.ย 

  • Ability to frequently climb stairs and periodically climb ladders.

  • Minimal travel is required.ย
