Position SummaryAeroMech is seeking a Quality and Process Engineer / Production control Analyst toreview, control, and approval of engineering documentation supporting our FAA PMAproduction parts. This role is responsible for ensuring all inbound engineering drawings,revisions, and supporting data meet internal quality standards, regulatory requirements,and are fully production-ready prior to release to production.This position owns the configuration and lifecycle management of aerospace parts frominitial engineering release through manufacturing, inspection, shipment and end-of-lifedisposition. The successful candidate will maintain complete hardware traceability,configuration integrity, revision control, and real-time status accounting while serving asthe central point of coordination between Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality, andSupply Chain.This is a process-driven, quality-focused role. The ideal candidate will serve as thegatekeeper between engineering and production; ensuring accuracy, completeness, andconfiguration control across all technical documentation and maintaining real-time datafor in process and schedule status to all organizations. If this role is the single source oftruth for every piece of hardware in the companyThis role is essentially a blend of Configuration Management, Production Control, HardwareLifecycle Management, and Quality Systems.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain live spreadsheets that track all production parts in build cyclethroughout the schedule to completion.Review all inbound engineering drawings, models, and technical data packagesfor completeness, accuracy, and compliance with AeroMech standardsEvaluate engineering changes (revisions, ECOs, deviations) to ensure properdocumentation, traceability, and impact assessmentApprove engineering documentation for release to production once all quality andprocess requirements are satisfiedIdentify discrepancies, gaps, or risks in engineering data and drive resolution withinternal and external stakeholdersLead issue resolution and remediation efforts related to engineeringdocumentation and configuration errorsEnsure strict adherence to configuration management and document controlprocessesMaintain alignment with FAA PMA and Part 145 regulatory requirementsAct as liaison between engineering, quality, planning, and production teams toensure clear and consistent executionSupport root cause analysis and corrective action (RCA/CAPA) related todocumentation or process failuresDevelop, refine, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) forengineering document review and releaseMonitor and improve process efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times forengineering approvalsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or related technical fieldpreferred (or equivalent experience)Minimum 5+ years of current relevant experience in aerospace quality,engineering supporting configuration management and production schedules.Configuration Management, Production Control, Material Control, AssetManagement, or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings, revision control, andtechnical documentation standardsExperience working within FAA-regulated environments (PMA, Part 145, orsimilar)Proven ability to review and interpret complex engineering data without acting asthe design authorityExperience with ECOs, change control processes, and configurationmanagement systemsHigh attention to detail with a process-oriented mindsetPreferred SkillsExperience with aviation ERP systems currently using Quantum, transitioning toVista Suite\Experience with any of the following: PLM, MES, MRP, SAP.
