Job description

This an in-person position only, not remote or hybrid.


The Process & Data Analyst will play a critical role in leveraging data to enhance operational efficiency, member satisfaction, and strategic decision-making. This position requires advanced analytical skills, strong technical expertise, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional teams.

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources, including but not limited to billing systems, OMS, GIS, AMI, and SCADA systems
  • Develop and maintain advanced dashboards, reports, and predictive models to support business operations, workflow automation, and strategic initiatives using cooperative-approved AI tools
  • Monitor and optimize key metrics for reliability, financial performance, emerging opportunities, and member engagement
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory and governance standards
  • Collaborate with all departments and leadership team to implement data-driven solutions and process improvements
  • Provide expert-level support for ad hoc data requests, data analysis, and special projects
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through advanced analytics and present findings to stakeholders in clear, actionable formats
  • Other duties as assigned


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (i.e. Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or related field) required
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related role, preferred


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred
  • Working knowledge or willingness to learn and become proficient with other software as needed, including but not limited to MilSoft OMS, ABS, CIS, MapViewer, Partner, Partner Web, CRC, Yukon, and IVUE
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of electric cooperative utility operations or energy sector preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
  • Must be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Must have ability to perform duties on an individual basis with minimal direct supervision
  • Must be able and willing to attend meetings, training, conferences to maintain up-to-date knowledge of cooperative services and technologies that may require travel and/or overnight stays
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed and/or required for outages, meetings, projects, events, etc.
  • Must always represent the Cooperative with professionalism, including but not limited to during all member and community interactions, while driving a company vehicle, while wearing company logoed apparel
  • Must possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the seven cooperative principles and the core values and mission of RushShelby Energy

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • In-person, office-based role that involves frequent sitting for extended periods while working at a computer
  • May occasionally involve light lifting of materials or office supplies
