Job description

This role is hybrid in Carmel, IN.

Only available on a W2 basis.


We’re seeking a strong Business Analyst to support Resource Adequacy (RA) and Demand Response (DR) product teams by translating complex market, regulatory requirements and stakeholder insights into clear, actionable user stories.


This role works closely with Product Owners, External Affairs, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure our solutions meet compliance needs and deliver meaningful value.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage the conversion process of decomposing system-level requirements into well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with internal experts to ensure clarity and alignment on requirements.

• Document workflows, processes, and requirement details to support development teams.

• Monitor market and regulatory changes and translate impacts into future business practice implementation and required product updates.

• Maintain and refine a prioritized backlog aligned with regulatory deadlines and product strategy.

• Support product delivery through Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement and sprint activities.


Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Systems, Information Systems, or similar field or 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a highly regulated, highly complex technical field.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate rules into actionable requirements.

• Experience writing user stories and supporting Agile/Scrum teams.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience working in a highly regulated environment.


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using tools such as Jira, Miro, and Microsoft 365, including AI tools such as Copilot, Rovo for Jira, and GitHub Copilot

• Familiarity with forecasting, capacity accreditation, or DR dispatch workflows.
