Job description

Business Analyst III

Location:The ideal candidate will reside within a reasonable distance of one of the following offices. Atlanta, GA; Columbus, GA, Waukesha, WI; Norfolk, VA, Indianapolis, IN, Louisville, KY, South Portland, ME and Manchester, NH.

Hybrid 1: This role requires associates to be in-office1 - 2days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

  • Please note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unlessaccommodationis granted as required by law.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM/8AM-4PM EST.

  • The position will sometimes require testing that has to be done outside of normal business hours, usually 1-2 hours on a Saturday.

The Business Analyst III will be responsible for serving as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complex business needs into business solutions while performing data analysis, claims validation, data validation, trend analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.

How you will make an impact:

  • Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.

  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs.

  • Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit.

  • Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.

  • Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues.

  • May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years business analysis experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.

  • Knowledge of medical coding concepts (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) is preferred.

  • Experience with healthcare claims data analysis and validation is preferred.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $73,600 to $92,000.
