In this role, the Business Analyst is responsible for supporting, improving, and designing processes and applications. They collaborate with IT to support our business functions such as Business Development, Client Success and Operations. Their duties include managing internal and external processes, client reporting, and management reporting. The role requires strong business and technical skills, with tools such as Business Intelligence, Customer Relationship Management, and Transactional Claims Processing, as well as the ability to communicate technical requirements effectively with IT Developers.
Responsibilities include:
  • Advise on solutions for client/broker/TPA requests, improvements, and growth initiatives.
  • Lead process discovery and task creation with cross-functional teams.
  • Document and transition business processes to CRM, BI, or other systems.
  • Coordinate agile project teams through all stages.
  • Develop regression test plans and guide user acceptance testing.
  • Promote adoption and standardization of business processes.
  • Train team members on CRM, BI, and new technologies.
  • Support CRM and BI processes, including troubleshooting.
  • Manage small to medium projects, ensuring timely and budgeted completion.
  • Maintain clear documentation of processes and technical designs.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business analytics or a related field.
  • Over 3 years of experience in business analytics with a strong understanding of business processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile/Sprint Planning project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SQL for self-service analysis or quality assurance (QA).
  • An understanding of IT infrastructure, including database servers, ETL pipelines, software development life cycle (SDLC), cloud architectures, programming languages, object-oriented principles, API concepts, system integrations (frontend and backend concepts), and data structures.
  • Effective communication skills with senior management, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as PowerBI or Tableau for data visualization and analysis.
  • Proactive mindset, with an inclination to seek clarification by asking questions, even in challenging scenarios.
  • Solid grasp of database concepts, working effectively with data analysts and developers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Capacity to multitask and adjust priorities based on business needs.
  • Basic understanding of software development, with the ability to create simple programs for data extraction and analysis.
  • Collaborative team player mindset with strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • The drive to learn business processes specific to the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry.
