Job Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for handling duties pertained to Persona's professional services for assigned clients as a Project Manager.

This position is also involves performing a wide range of tasks related to service development, including project implementations, supervisory function to support the Director/Manager, and designing solutions for both clients and Pasona internal.

A successful candidate is a proactive person who is willing to take responsibility for payroll operations with strong operation skill (speed and accuracy) and to enthusiastically be involved in process optimization, continuous improvement and/or transformation of payroll-related operation workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead assigned projects as a project leader, including reviewing procedures, monitoring profitability, managing client expectations, renewing agreements, and training project members.

Process multi-state payrolls for multiple clients

Implement new payroll projects, including payroll system conversions for clients

Research new regulations and ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, county requirements

Examine and improves existing payroll related procedures for assigned projects

Communicate/interact with clients, sales department, and project team members to meet client expectations

Ensure quality of customer service

Collaborate with IT, marketing, and other development teams to plan and develop new services, operations and processes

Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements to safeguard the company's operations and reputation

Participate in internal projects as assigned

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

(REQUIRED) 5+ years of full-charge payroll experience or equivalent

(REQUIRED) Experience processing payroll for multiple companies

(REQUIRED) Experience in project management and team management

(REQUIRED) Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

(Preferred) Associate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

(Preferred) Experience with payroll system implementation (e.g., ADP or similar systems)

(Preferred) Exposure to or experience with AI technologies and applications (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform)

(Preferred) Experience executing cross-departmental and/or external projects

*Fundamental Skills:

Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills in English (required) and Japanese (preferred)

Ability to work accurately and independently in a fast-paced work environment

Strong prioritization, multitasking, time management, and customer service mind to meet stakeholder expectations and deadlines

Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment

Comfortable learning new systems and adaptable to IT-related changes; not afraid of challenge

Proactive in resolving issues and developing solutions to complex problems

Strong initiative and flexibility for new projects, systems, procedures, and company directions.

Ability to achieve results aligned with PASONA's and the department's business objectives

*Salary: $70,304-$100,000 (Base Salary) + Profit sharing

*Classifications: Exempt, Full-time (40 hours/week)

*Work schedule: Mon-Fri 9am- 6pm
