Job description

Must Haves:

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or equivalent PM experience

3-5 years of technical PM experience, familiar with software development life cycle

Familiarity with business processes (accounting, payroll, AP, AR, inventory, marketing, etc.)

Creative, organized, and ambitious individual

Plusses:

Project Management Professional certification

Familiarity working as a PM within IT groups (in addition to business groups)

Day to Day:

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead business and technology initiatives from project initiation through implementation and closeout. This individual will partner with stakeholders across departments such as Accounting, Payroll, Inventory, Operations, and Marketing to define requirements, manage project scope, and drive successful project delivery. The Project Manager will oversee all phases of the project life cycle, including planning, business analysis, development coordination, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in ambiguous environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with SDLC methodologies, project documentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-impact business solutions.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Lead projects through the full Project Lifecycle (PLC), including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control, and project closeout while ensuring deliverables are completed on time and aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and branch managers to gather requirements, drive SDLC activities, facilitate communication, and translate business needs into actionable project plans.
  • Maintain and manage RAID logs by proactively identifying risks, tracking action items, documenting issues and decisions, developing contingency plans, and driving risk mitigation efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Take ownership of projects from concept through implementation by independently driving initiatives forward, solving problems, removing roadblocks, and operating effectively in ambiguous environments with minimal direction.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project change requests (PCRs), monitor scope, schedule, and project health, and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization by remaining calm, professional, and solutions-focused while facilitating discussions, managing expectations, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
