Job description


The Sr. Payroll Systems Analyst supports all payroll-related systems, implements approved system updates in support of policy, ensured the effective and efficient completion of daily payroll activities, interprets system documentation in support of upgrades and team process changes and documents. This role creates, maintains and executes approved system test scripts, including documentation of testing and completes functional system configurations updates. The person in this role recommends new system functionality and configuration in support of improved efficiency and accuracy. Provides project management support for Payroll projects.
Responsibilities
  • Administer ongoing Oracle HCM software processes and procedures, including data audits and ad-hoc reporting for Payroll
  • Monitor Oracle HCM configuration changes and end-user accessibility issues, performs and documents root cause analyses Propose and implement process and/or configuration solutions
  • Coordinate with Payroll, HRIS and IT teams to drive accountability and customer service
  • Develop and maintain relationships with department contacts (internal customers), consulting with them on Payroll HRIS matters and ensuring system capabilities align with their operational needs and long-term objectives
  • Review vendor feature and regulatory release materials, analyzes compatibility and utility of updates, and prepare change management materials for end-users
  • Create Oracle HCM reports and queries in support of Payroll Operations. Prepare analysis and reports as needed
  • Provide data and systems research. Support audit activities through development of reports, data gathering and analysis
  • Develop project plans and oversees projects for Payroll projects. May include providing work direction to other Payroll team members
  • Prepare/update training materials and process documentation as needed
  • Provide WOW! Customer Service to all AutoZoners

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field required
  • 3-5 years HR/Payroll systems support experience required
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Cloud Payroll experience; Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll experience preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in use of spreadsheet, database, word processing and ERP software
  • Strong understanding of payroll and payroll reporting
  • Understanding of payroll GL posting
  • Strong project management skills
