Familiarity with payroll software systems (such as ADP, Paychex, or SAP), data migration tools, and sometimes certifications like the FPC or CPP are typically required. Exceptional communication, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail help you manage client relationships and ensure a smooth transition during software implementation. These skills are vital for accurately setting up payroll systems, minimizing errors, and delivering a seamless client experience.

What are some common challenges faced by Implementation Specialist Payroll professionals during client onboarding, and how are they addressed?

Job description

Implementation Specialist - Accounting & Payroll Software

Caselle (a Govineer Solutions Company)
Provo, UT | Hybrid-friendly

Help Communities Thrive Through Better Payroll & Accounting Software

At Caselle, the work you do matters. Our software supports cities, towns, and public agencies across the country, helping them run critical services-from accounting to payroll-smoothly and accurately. We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Payroll Implementation Specialist to join our team and help clients successfully move to our software.

This role is a great fit if you enjoy working with data, solving problems, and helping customers feel confident using new systems. Whether you're fresh out of school or have a couple of years of payroll experience, this position offers hands-on learning, meaningful client interaction, and long-term career growth in GovTech.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work closely with customers during their software implementation, especially as it relates to our payroll application. Your days will include preparing and validating files for conversion, comparing and balancing data between systems, and identifying issues that need to be corrected. You'll collaborate with our Customer Support team to resolve questions related to payroll processes, and you'll support customers as they learn and use Caselle software.

Once data conversion is complete, you'll help train clients in a pre-live environment-by phone, video, or occasionally onsite-so they feel confident before going live. You'll also review and format customer forms such as checks, invoices, and financial statements, assist with database setup for add-on applications, and keep clear documentation of your daily progress. Above all, you'll provide excellent customer service, even when payroll questions are complex or time-sensitive.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is organized, detail-focused, and customer-driven, with a genuine interest in accounting and payroll systems. Experience working with payroll, payroll processing, or payroll software is important, along with strong communication skills and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. An Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field is required, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

If you enjoy learning new systems, adapting to change, and helping others succeed with their payroll and accounting operations, you'll feel right at home here.

Experience delivering software training to small groups or one on one is a plus.

Compensation

Salary will be discussed during the interview process and aligned with your experience.

Ready to Apply?

If you're looking for a role where you can build expertise in payroll, grow your career, and make a real impact for communities across the country, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and start your journey with Caselle.
