Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Payroll Project Intern to join our HR/Payroll Team. This role is designed for a new graduate or a student currently enrolled in a post-secondary work-integrated learning program in business administration, HR, Project Management, or a related field. This role provides the right candidate with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR operations, project coordination, and process improvement within a dynamic corporate environment.


  • Assist in tracking project deliverables, timelines, and tasks to ensure successful implementation of HR projects.
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and records for reference and compliance purposes.
  • Assist in drafting project communications, memos, and updates for stakeholders.
  • Field HR and project-related questions, forward them to the appropriate contacts, and track responses to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Create clear documentation and reference guides for payroll, outlining system access requirements for new hires based on role and department.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support testing and rollout activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Project Manager and project team.
  • Support reporting by collecting and analyzing project-related data as needed.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations to enhance project efficiency and communication.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

  • New graduate or a student enrolled in a post-secondary work-integrated learning program in Human Resources, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in Human Resources, Payroll, and/or Project Management.
  • Problem-solving mindset with initiative to learn and adapt quickly.
