Responsibilities
The responsibilities listed for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with the collection, review, and entry of employee timekeeping data from restaurant locations into the payroll system.
- Verify and reconcile time and attendance records to identify discrepancies.
- Support the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll runs for store-level employees.
- Maintain, update, and verify employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and deductions.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from operations department managers and employees regarding pay stubs and timekeeping.
- Generate standard payroll reports for review by store-level employees and managers.
- Ensure payroll documents are properly filed and archived in compliance with company recordkeeping policies.
- Support year-end payroll activities including W-2 preparation assistance and audit support.
- Follow all company payroll policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting when needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or administrative support; restaurant or hospitality industry experience is a plus.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
- Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Dayforce, Paylocity, Paychex, or similar) preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic wage and hour regulations a plus.
- Familiarity with Dayforce, HRIS a plus.
- High attention to detail.
- Time management is a must.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Spanish - strongly preferred.
- Capacity for teamwork as well as working individually.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
