ADP WorkforceNow Payroll Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy ADP WorkforceNow Payroll Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will take ownership of our payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for our employees. You must be certified in ADP Workforce Now and bring hands-on experience navigating multi-state payroll complexities, including state tax registrations, SUI account setups, and Workers' Compensation claims.

Additionally, this role requires seamlessly interacting with various Vendor Management Systems (VMS) to process contingent workforce timesheets and utilizing advanced spreadsheet skills to analyze payroll data.

In this energetic role, you will leverage your expertise in payroll management, financial software, and human resources systems to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation.

Duties

  • Manage and execute payroll processing using ADP WorkforceNow, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Perform detailed account reconciliation, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and journal entries related to payroll transactions
  • Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, and other HRIS systems to support payroll functions
  • Conduct data entry and maintain meticulous records for benefits administration, tax filings, non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, and other financial activities
  • Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors; resolve issues promptly through investigation and collaboration with HR or finance teams
  • Support benefits administration processes including enrollments, updates, and compliance reporting
  • Assist in preparing reports related to payroll costs, tax liabilities, and other financial metrics for management review

Experience

  • Proven experience in payroll management with a strong understanding of payroll software such as ADP WorkforceNow or equivalent platforms
  • 3+ years as a payroll analyst using ADP WorkforceNow
  • Solid background in accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
  • Familiarity with technical accounting concepts related to human resources and benefits administration
  • Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation accurately within complex financial systems
  • Knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll processing and experience handling governmental reporting requirements
  • Strong analysis skills with attention to detail; capable of identifying discrepancies through data analysis

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • ADP Certification: Active certification in ADP Workforce Now is strictly required.
  • Multi-State Expertise: Proven experience independently setting up and managing state withholding and SUI accounts.
  • Workers' Comp Experience: Demonstrable background in handling and processing Workers' Compensation claims.
  • VMS Proficiency: Hands-on experience pulling and processing timesheets from Beeline, Fieldglass, and WAND.
  • Advanced Spreadsheet Skills: Highly proficient in both Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas) and Apple Numbers.
  • Tech-Savvy: Exceptional overall computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and internal systems.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong numerical aptitude with a relentless commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
