Job description

Fenceworks, LLC is looking for a Payroll Assistant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience who can manage a fast pace weekly payroll processing. The Payroll Assistant supports the payroll department by ensuring timely, accurate processing of employee payroll. This role involves maintaining payroll records, verifying timekeeping data, preparing reports, filing, providing support for payroll inquiries and assignment of special projects. The Payroll Assistant helps ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and payroll procedures. This individual will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.


MUST BE BILINGUAL IN SPANISH


Principal Accountabilities:

· Collect, review, and verify attendance records, time sheets, and timekeeping data.

· Enter and update employee payroll information into the payroll system.

· Assist in processing payroll on a weekly basis.

· Verify accuracy of earnings, deductions, taxes, and adjustments as needed.

· Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, paychecks, and deductions.

· Maintain employee payroll files and confidential records.

· Assist with payroll audits and reconciliation of payroll reports.

· Prepare payroll summaries, reports, and data extracts as needed.

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

· Support HR and Finance teams with administrative tasks related to compensation and benefits.

· Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned and assists with projects, as needed


Key Skills & Requirements:

· Proficiency in MS Office, Word, and PowerPoint


Bilingual in Spanish

· Advanced excel skills, including Vlookups and Pivot tables

· 2-4 years of Paychex experience is preferred

· Impeccable organizational skills, attention to detail, time management and prioritization

· Strong Customer Service Skills

· Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to multitask, detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable

· Attendance- models good attendance by adhering to their regular work schedule and at times working additional or

varied hours to accommodate workflow
