Job description

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
What You'll Do

Process weekly, biweekly, or monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time
Maintain and update employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, and salary changes
Calculate and process overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
Prepare and submit payroll tax filings including W-2s, 941s, and year-end reports
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Coordinate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate data
Process garnishments, child support orders, and other wage deductions
Generate payroll reports for management and auditing purposes

What We're Looking For

2+ years of payroll processing experience
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Ramp, Bill.com, Gusto, ADP, or similar platforms
Ability to manage expense tracking and corporate card reconciliation through Ramp
Experience processing vendor payments and invoices through Bill.com
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping and payroll records
Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
