Job Description Payroll Specialist with strong ADP experience for a temporary project We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with extensive experience in ADP payroll systems to manage and process payroll operations with accuracy and efficiency in a fractional project with one of our most important clients. If you live in the NYC Metro area and are looking for a temporary engagement, this opportunity is for you. The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of hands-on payroll experience, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations while providing exceptional support to employees.

This role requires strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of payroll laws, and expertise in ADP Workforce Now, ADP Run, or other ADP platforms. Key Responsibilities: Process end-to-end payroll using ADP for [number] employees across [single/multiple] states, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefit contributions.

Manage payroll tax filings, including federal, state, and local payroll taxes. Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Handle payroll adjustments, retroactive pay, reimbursements, and garnishments.

Maintain accurate payroll records, audit reports, and general ledger reconciliations. Generate and distribute payroll reports for management, HR, and finance teams. Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Collaborate with HR to manage new hires, terminations, and benefits deductions. Stay updated on payroll regulations, tax law changes, and industry best practices. Assist in ADP payroll system implementations, upgrades, and process optimizations.

Required Qualifications & Skills: 8+ years of payroll processing experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in ADP payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now, ADP Run, ADP Vantage, etc.). Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards (FLSA, FMLA, etc.). Expertise in ADP payroll software, including system navigation, reporting, and troubleshooting

Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation) for payroll reporting and analysis. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience in multi-state and/or international payroll is a plus. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred but not required.
