About the Role:Job SummaryPlan, coordinate, provide and evaluate education to healthcare professionals using mobile simulation and other enhanced learning methodologies to assist the organization in meeting professional development, quality and safety goals. Incorporate critical thinking, clinical decision making, evidence-based practice and professionalism in educational programs. Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the operations of the mobile simulation unit. Operate, troubleshoot and maintain all mobile units, including the mobile bus and van. Operate, troubleshoot and maintain all patient simulators. The role supports simulation program management software, data management processes, quality assurance activities, quality improvement initiatives, research support, and innovation exploration. Responsibilities also include simulator and standardized patient moulage to enhance realism and alignment with learning objectives. Strong critical thinking, clinical decisionmaking skills, and evidencebased practice knowledge are required to support safe, effective simulationbased education across clinical and community settings.
Minimum Job QualificationsLicensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as a Paramedic, Registered Nurse (RN), or Respiratory Therapist (RT) in Georgia. Current American Heart Association (AHA) provider certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required. is preferred. Must obtain AHA Instructor status for BLS and ACLS within six (6) months of hire. Must obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six (6) months of hire.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor Degree. Graduate from an accredited program in your designated certification as a Paramedic, Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist.
Minimum Experience: Minimum of five years experience in the healthcare field as a Paramedic, Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist. Preferred one year of education/simulation experience. Preferred Experience with driving larger vehicles such as ambulances or fire engines.
Other: Must be 21 years of age per requirement of NGHS vehicle insurance carrier.
Preferred Licensure or other certifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, PALS Instructor certification

Strong critical thinking, clinical decisionmaking skills, and evidencebased practice knowledge are required to support safe, effective simulationbased education across clinical and community settings.
Maintains instructor status for BLS and ACLS American Heart classes.
Coordinates and instruct BLS and ACLS classes, including coordination of instructors for both courses. Coordination and instruction of PALS classes is preferred.
Provides instruction for BLS, ACLS, (PALS, PEARS are preferred), and other clinical education programs as required by departmental needs. Performs all phases of simulation activities, including scenario development (preprogrammed and custom), scenario execution, facilitation, debriefing, and learner evaluation.
Troubleshoots and performs routine repairs on simulation equipment for all simulation departments, within the scope of training and expertise. Responsible for maintaining and coordinating warranties and service agreements for all simulation equipment within the department.
Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, repair, and operation of low to highfidelity patient simulators (hardware and software), task trainers, related inventory, and audio/visual equipment.
Performs simulation session programming, testing, setup, operation, program management software support, and data management.
Organizes scheduling of the mobile simulation unit.
Requires the ability, competence and required license (s) to operate the mobile simulation bus and other mobile simulation vehicles.
Ensures all Patient Simulation vehicles are maintained in excellent and safe working condition by coordinating, documenting, and tracking scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; maintaining preventive maintenance schedules and records; managing vehiclespecific supplies and fluids; performing and/or coordinating routine cleaning and maintenance, including required pre and posttrip procedures; developing strong working relationships with fleet service vendors; and reporting suspected vehicle neglect or misuse in accordance with organizational policy.
Performs leveling, setup, and closure of mobile simulation unit at each simulation event. Adheres to all recommended safety procedures, vehicle and equipment security measures, and safe body mechanics in performance of such duties.
Works closely with appropriate vendors and Lifeline Mobile to investigate mobile simulation unit problems and documents findings/solutions in computer files.
Obtains and submits vehicle repair receipts for parts and services in a timely manner; utilizes and documents applicable warranty coverage for vehicle services and repairs; troubleshoots and performs repairs on vehicles and simulators within the scope of training and expertise; and performs preventive maintenance while coordinating repairs for manikins used on the mobile simulation unit.
Develops and maintains strong, positive working relationships with all fleet service vendors.
Ensure safety of employees and integrity of simulation equipment by being present during all assigned simulation activities
Participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement or accreditation activities as needed
