SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Hospital Admissions Registration Associate advances the revenue cycle process for services rendered within a bedded hospital setting. The incumbent is responsible for securing all information required to accurately complete the patient registration, converting the correct visit within the billing system, eligibility verification, and reviewing regulatory requirements for admissions, observations, and surgical day care visits.

Registration Associates at Hershey Medical Center will enjoy flexibility with schedules and tasks ranging from mobile registration, administrative work, phone calls, etc. Weekend rotations are spread out at every 6 th weekend. The Registration team holds a crucial role within our organization, significantly influencing the overall experience of patients. There are opportunities for advancement within the department to Senior Associate roles and Team Lead positions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Insurance experiencepreferred at time of hire

  • Medical terminology preferred
