Position Purposeย 

The Shiftย Supervisor leads and supports resident care staff while ensuring high-quality care is consistently delivered. This role oversees daily operations and staff performance on each shift, whileย ensuringย all resident service plans are followed with dignity and respect.ย 


Qualificationsย 

  • Must be able to read,ย writeย and carry out directions in Englishย ย 

  • Caregiving experience or certification preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Competency Evaluated Nursing Assistant (CENA), Medication Assistant (MA), or Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LPN)ย 

  • Leadership, supervisory, and communication experienced preferredย ย 

  • Minimum of 18 years of ageย 

  • Mustย successfulย complete the Heritage Property Management Med Tech Certification training course and pass the Med Tech test.ย ย ย 

  • CPR Certifiedย 

  • Must be able to pass the state mandated criminal background screening andย pre-employment drug screening for illegal substancesย 


ย Essential Functionsย 

  • Supervise resident services staff and daily care deliveryย 

  • Ensure residents receive care per service plansย ย 

  • Complete and update resident assessments and care plans as needed or directed by a supervisorย 

  • Communicate with Licensed Health Care Professionals, families, and care partnersย regardingย resident conditions,ย medicationsย and treatments to ensure continuum of careย ย 

  • Responds to and leads emergency situations to ensure resident safetyย ย 

  • Complete required documentation for residents, staff and visitor incidents or injuries, and notifyย appropriate partiesย 

  • Perform staff performance reviews as needed (90 days, and annually)ย 

  • Deliver staff coaching and counseling as neededย ย 

  • Assisted with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility, dining)ย 

  • Respond promptly to resident requests and call lightsย 

  • Observe and report changes in residentsโ€™ condition to supervisorย 

  • Document care and services as directedย 

  • Assistย residents with meals and life enrichment activities as neededย ย 

  • Train staff as assigned and as necessary to assure the goals andย objectivesย of the living center are fulfilledย 


Physical and Mental Requirementsย 

  • Ability toย lift upย to 50 pounds.ย 

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, squat, kneel, push, and pull for extended periods.ย 

  • Ability toย assistย residents with showers, toileting, transfers, and personal care.ย
