Operations Supervisor
Role Summary
Our client is searching for an Operations Supervisor to join their rapidly growing team. The Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the execution of all activities on the production floor. The ideal candidate has prior leadership experience in warehousing, knows proper procedures and policies, and has proven leadership and development skills.
Key Results Area:

  • Determine appropriate production methods and labor levels to meet service deliverables
  • Supervises all operations personnel to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Work alongside the operations manager and support teams to plan the daily activities
  • Ensure all employees understand their specific duties before the start of each shift
  • Review the production schedule and work orders to prioritize the workforce to maximize performance and meet the client's expectations
  • Ensure all operating lines are properly set up at the beginning of each shift, ensuring efficient use of labor and time
  • Supervise all employees on shift to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency, and accuracy while still maintaining safety protocols
  • Interview, hire, and train new employees on your shift to ensure they are following established safety and performance standards
  • Support and maintain all corporate quality standards, policies, procedures, and work instructions as outlined in company policies and procedures
  • Provide a safe working environment through adherence to OSHA regulations and all company health and safety policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred
  • A minimum of three (3) years of warehouse experience, with knowledge of receiving, shipping, product fulfillment, and inventory control
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred, including coaching and development of employees
  • Capable of working independently and as part of and leading a team
  • Experience with standard warehousing procedures and policies
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to determine priorities, make decisions, and organize the workspace to create an organized operation
