Job description

We are seeking a Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Norfolk, MA. This role is critical to maintaining healthy cash flow by ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and proper documentation across multiple projects. Experience in the construction industry is highly valued due to the complexity of progress billing and contract requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up new projects
  • Manage customer invoices, including progress billing and AIA billing
  • Track and manage lien waivers, retainage and contract terms for multiple divisions
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue invoices
  • Coordinate with Project managers to ensure accurate billing
  • Process incoming payments and apply to appropriate accounts
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger and resolve discrepancies

Required skills:
  • 2+ years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in construction or a related industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in accounting software (Sage Intacct, or similar)
  • Strong communication skills for customer and internal follow-up
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
