Status: Full-time (Monday – Friday)
Schedule: Variable shifts (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Position Overview
Southwoods Health is hiring an Orderly to work at The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods. The successful candidate will safely assist the surgical staff and patients by maintaining the cleanliness of the Operating Room, assisting with patient transport and positioning, and performing rapid room turnover.
Essential Duties
  • Patient Support: Participates as a team member in support of positive patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Efficiency amp; Privacy: Considers cost containment by using resources appropriately and maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Room Maintenance: Turns over and cleans Operating Rooms thoroughly between surgical cases.
  • Inventory Management: Knows the locations of equipment, stocks handwashing supplies, and distributes clean linen and scrubs.
  • General Operations: Performs general delivery services and participates in facility training and learning opportunities.
  • Compliance Management: Ensures all responsible processes maintain compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
  • Additional Tasks: Performs other duties as assigned.
