The Orderly in Surgical Services plays a critical role in supporting the efficient operation of surgical departments within healthcare facilities. This position ensures that surgical suites and patient care areas are properly prepared, maintained, and sanitized to meet strict health and safety standards. The Orderly assists in the safe and timely transport of patients to and from surgical areas, facilitating smooth workflow and minimizing delays. By collaborating closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the Orderly helps maintain a sterile and organized environment essential for successful surgical outcomes. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to patient safety, comfort, and the overall effectiveness of surgical services.

High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of hospital safety and infection control procedures. Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and moving patients safely. Valid certification in basic life support (BLS) or willingness to obtain upon hire.
