What is an orderly?

An orderly works in medical facilities taking care of the basic needs of patients. You act as a nursing assistant, handling basic tasks to free up nurses to perform their duties. In a hospital, you move patients between wards or guide them to the various services they may require. You may monitor patients and collect vital information about their condition for nurses or doctors. Orderlies find employment in healthcare clinics, nursing homes, and other settings in addition to hospitals and surgical centers.
