As the SEO Manager at Firm Media, you are a key leader in driving our clients' digital marketing success. Your role centers on strategic leadership, data-driven decision-making, and nurturing a collaborative team environment. With your extensive SEO experience, you provide guidance, innovation, and excellence to our team, ensuring the achievement of client objectives.

Responsibilities


  • Strategic SEO Leadership:
    • Develop and implement innovative SEO strategies which are then incorporated into our systems and taught to the rest of the SEO team.
    • Lead the SEO team in achieving organic search goals and ensuring the campaign objectives for each client are met.
    • Streamline SEO strategies into a time-efficient process, optimizing workflow and resource allocation to maximize productivity.


  • Data Leadership and Analysis:
    • Take an active role in capturing, cleaning, analyzing, and presenting data related to the performance of marketing campaigns for clients.
    • Relies on a data-driven approach that relies on facts to develop an intentional approach to all decision-making.


  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and motivate the entire SEO team.
    • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth, innovation, and excellence.
    • Routinely inspect the client work of other team members, especially for new website launches.


  • Cross-Departmental Coordination:
    • Facilitate coordination and communication across departments such as Development and Design to harness synergies where each department interacts and overlaps.
    • Ensure seamless collaboration to deliver integrated marketing solutions for clients.


  • Wordpress Expertise:
    • Enhance menus, plugins, website appearance and settings, and all the features that are relevant to optimizing content on the website.
    • Perform content migrations and arrange assets on a website according to the specifications of the site architecture.
    • Apply FM's proprietary customization recipe of settings that make a new site SEO friendly.


  • Citation Development:
    • Proficiency in managing citations across major platforms including GMB, Apple Maps, Bing, and Yelp.
    • Skilled in creating, merging, deleting, and making necessary alterations to citations on these top 4 platforms.
    • Effective management of client and location assets using BrightLocal for streamlined maintenance and optimization


  • Proficiency with SEO Tools
    • Proven capability with SEO applications such as AHrefs, SEMRush, Google Search Console (GSC), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and Screaming Frog.
    • Ability to leverage these tools to drive campaign performance and effectively communicate the results to clients.


  • Proficiency in On-Page, Off-Page, and Technical SEO:
    • Optimize website content, meta tags, and site structure for improved search engine visibility.
    • Conduct keyword research and analysis to guide content and on-page optimization.
    • Collaborate with content specialists to ensure SEO best practices in content alignment.
    • Perform routine content audits to identify optimization opportunities.
    • Implement link-building strategies to enhance domain authority and backlink profiles.
    • Identify and resolve technical SEO issues impacting website performance, working closely with the development team for implementation.


  • Leadership and Development:
    • Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance their SEO skills and knowledge.
    • Collaborate with the SEO Manager to develop new initiatives and methods to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of FM’s SEO methodology and strategy.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of SEO experience with a proven track record of success in multiple industries that involve large and competitive markets.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyze data to make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
