Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Web Publisher / SEO Manager to own two deeply connected functions: our organic search performance and the day-to-day publishing, maintenance, and front-end health of our website. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who is equally comfortable running a technical SEO audit, helping shape a content strategy, and building and updating pages in a CMS.

You will manage all aspects of search optimization — traditional SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) — covering both the technical foundation and the content required to support it. As search evolves toward AI-generated answers and answer engines, you will ensure our brand remains visible, cited, and competitive across traditional search results, featured snippets, and generative AI experiences.

At the same time, you will serve as the primary owner of the website's front end: publishing new content, building landing pages, maintaining site structure and quality, and acting as the final QA gate before anything goes live. You will be highly analytical, with strong Google Analytics expertise, using data to guide decisions and demonstrate impact.
This is a [Full-Time Onsite / Hybrid] role based in Austin, TX. While we welcome out-of-area applicants, candidates must be residing in or willing to relocate to the Austin area by their start date.

Key Responsibilities:

SEO / AEO / GEO Strategy & Execution

  • Own and execute the end-to-end organic search strategy, spanning technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content-driven SEO.

  • Lead Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives: structure content to win featured snippets, People Also Ask placements, and citations in AI-generated answers (e.g., Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity).

  • Conduct ongoing technical SEO audits and remediation: crawlability, indexation, site architecture, redirects, canonicalization, Core Web Vitals, and page speed.

  • Implement and maintain structured data / schema markup across the site to maximize rich result and answer-engine eligibility.

  • Perform keyword, topic, and search-intent research to inform the content roadmap; develop content briefs and partner with writers and subject-matter experts to produce content that supports organic growth.

  • Manage internal linking strategy, content refresh cycles, and content pruning to maintain a healthy, high-performing site.

  • Monitor algorithm updates and the rapidly evolving AI search landscape; adapt strategy proactively and educate stakeholders on implications.

Web Publishing & Front-End Site Management

  • Manage the day-to-day front end of the website: build, publish, and update pages, landing pages, blog posts, and campaign content within the CMS.

  • Maintain site navigation, templates, internal links, redirects, forms, and overall site hygiene.

  • Serve as the CMS power user and primary administrator: manage publishing workflows, user permissions, and editorial governance; train and support content contributors.

  • Perform front-end QA on all site updates across browsers and devices, ensuring brand, accessibility (WCAG), and SEO standards are met before launch.

  • Partner with Product team on CMS improvements, fixes, template changes, and site enhancements.

  • Coordinate website projects such as redesigns, migrations, and new section launches, representing SEO and publishing requirements throughout.

Analytics, Reporting & Measurement

  • Own organic search and website performance measurement in Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and related tools.

  • Define and maintain event and conversion tracking (in partnership with the team managing Google Tag Manager) to connect organic performance to business outcomes.

  • Build and deliver recurring dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI) on traffic, rankings, conversions, Core Web Vitals, and AI-search visibility for stakeholders and leadership.

  • Analyze user behavior, landing page performance, and conversion paths to identify optimization opportunities; run tests and iterate based on results.

  • Translate data into clear insights and recommendations and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
