As a member of the Global Marketing SEO (search engine optimization) Team supporting the Microsoft Commercial Business, you'll be at the forefront of increasing organic search and AI search visibility and improving performance for our portfolio of commercial products including Azure, GitHub, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Security, and more.
We're seeking a Senior SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Manager with analytical, organizational, presentation, interpersonal, and persuasive skills to join our team so that it can deliver transformational SEO and AI SEO strategies to a variety of internal leaders and departments. Your colleagues will consist of full-time employees, contractors, and an outsourced agency that have worked together to produce insightful data analyses and research findings about our global customers and competitors. In this role, you'll work with many disciplines as you focus on our GitHub business and our Developer audiences. You will develop and execute strategies, research, measurement, and reporting approaches that span all marketing lifecycle stages, ensuring that our brands, products, and thought leadership have high visibility in traditional search engines (e.g., Google Search) and emerging AI search experiences (e.g., ChatGPT). This opportunity will allow you to deepen your knowledge of cutting-edge SEO techniques, gain experience working with large-scale websites, and develop your leadership skills by teaching others. Responsibilities
  • You will define and execute the all-up SEO and AI SEO strategy and plan for the GitHub business and our Developer audiences.
  • You will conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform content strategy.
  • You will monitor SEO and AI SEO trends and algorithm changes, always staying ahead of updates to ensure the company's strategies remain competitive.
  • You will advocate for SEO and AI SEO within Marketing, educating stakeholders and championing organic search and AI search as growth channels.
  • You will monitor and report on SEO and AI SEO performance, using tools like Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, and internal dashboards to surface insights and recommend optimizations.
  • You will manage integrated marketing program execution planning, as well as help develop program recommendations.
  • You'll also identify solutions that address inefficiencies and collaborate with Product Marketing to identify the business objectives a program can support.
  • You will analyze KPIs, then share insights that will advance business impact.
  • You'll also recommend actions to executive leaders based on those results, as well as use performance data to develop insights and make improvement recommendations.
  • You will drive medium complexity projects by developing a detailed project management plan, as well as manage finances for projects with mid-sized to large budgets.
  • You'll also develop and execute communication plans to share progress, blockers, and learnings.

Integrated Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
