Job description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced, results-driven Search Engine Optimization Manager to own the development, implementation, and optimization of the search experience across the AWS website.
As an SEO Manager for the AWS Website CX Team, you will have the opportunity to improve the search experience for our customers by driving the roadmap and strategy around content quality, organization, and discoverability. You will play a leading role in providing our customers best-in-class content by partnering with AWS marketers to develop, implement, and measure SEO initiatives.
A successful candidate will be an advocate for SEO best practices and well-versed in what it takes to optimize a multi-thousand, high-traffic marketing website for search engine discoverability. This role requires a proven track record in managing SEO content strategy, a deep understanding of technical SEO, analytical skills to develop strategies grounded in data, and interpersonal and project management skills to harness the passion and energy of teams across AWS to deliver content to our customers.
Key job responsibilities
* Be the guardian for content quality and SEO best practices, continually raising the bar for best-in-class content and search engine discoverability.
* Educating marketers and content authors on SEO best practices and evangelizing SEO best practices across the organization.
* Partnering with teams across the company to develop processes and mechanisms to ensure AWS website content adheres to SEO best practices.
* Partnering with marketers and content authors to develop and implement content marketing campaigns to grow SEO traffic.
* Providing support to technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure new site features and/or content adheres to SEO best practices.
* Maintaining a library of documentation and articles that educate the organization on SEO best practices.
* Auditing the AWS web property content to find opportunities to grow the natural search channel.
* Performing keyword research and data analysis to make the case for projects and their prioritization.
* Analyzing, tracking and reporting on overall natural search performance, using data to report out progress on key initiatives with insights that will shape future SEO content strategy.

AWS Search Marketing is focused on delivering a great search experience for AWS customers and prospective customers. We manage SEO and SEM across search engines like Google, Bing and others. These are key sources of traffic for how customers find the information they need by engaging with AWS. Our focus on the customer and applying best-in-class search practices results in a test and learn culture that seeks continual progression. We seek to accomplish this in a fun, collaborative environment that encourages sharing of knowledge, learnings and wins!
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns
- Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
- Experience across affiliate marketing, PPC, SEM and social media advertising
- 4+ years SEO experience, with the ability to define business impact and establish roadmaps incorporating SEO strategy and tactics
- Demonstrated efforts in understanding Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and its role alongside SEO
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in multi-territory campaign management
- Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process
- Proven AI application in utilizing SEO data and deliverables to drive business impact

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
