Operations Support Specialist

GSG Protective Services is seeking an experienced and professional Operations Support Specialist to support security operations, personnel management, client relations, scheduling oversight, and training functions across designated assignments.

This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, client satisfaction, and effective supervision of security personnel. 

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage physical security procedures and operational protocols. 
  • Supervise security officers and operational personnel. 
  • Respond to incidents and complete documentation and reporting. 
  • Train personnel on company policies and post orders. 
  • Develop and maintain employee schedules. 
  • Conduct scheduling and payroll audits. 
  • Promote a positive and professional work environment. 
  • Collaborate with clients and internal leadership. 
  • Effectively resolve operational concerns and de-escalate situations professionally. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Associate degree or higher required. 
  • Minimum three (3) years of related security or operations experience. 
  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience within the security industry. 
  • Scheduling experience managing large staffing hours preferred. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Proficient in computer systems and smartphone applications. 
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. 
  • Ability to maintain required security registrations and certifications. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher. 
  • Five (5) years or more of security, operations, or related industry experience. 
  • Client-facing management experience preferred.

  • Strong operational decision-making and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations. 
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills. 
  • High level of situational awareness and professionalism.

  • Ability to effectively supervise personnel and manage field operations. 

Physical Requirements 

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to use hands and arms for reaching, handling, and grasping.
