Overview
East West Bank is currently seeking a Senior Deposit Operations Manager. This position will support Centralized Operations leadership in driving operational excellence, process improvement, project execution, and service management across Centralized Operations, and Branch Support functions. The individual will work closely with Retail Banking, Branch Operations, Compliance, BSA, Legal, and other business partners to enhance operational effectiveness, improve the branch and customer experience, and support a culture of continuous improvement. This role will also strengthen leadership continuity and support strategic operational initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing retail branch operations, support and customer experience.
  • Identify and resolve operational pain points through process optimization, issue management, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Manage staffing across operational teams, including recruiting, performance evaluations, coaching, training, mentoring, and employee development initiatives.
  • Partner with Branch Support leadership to improve service delivery, call management, service levels, and escalation effectiveness.
  • Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and service quality.
  • Provide oversight of key operational projects, ensuring milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies are actively managed.
  • Support project execution and drive timely resolution of issues impacting strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the review, enhancement, and standardization of operational procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure procedures remain current, effective, and aligned with operational, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with business units to identify opportunities for operational efficiency, process automation, and improved controls.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across business lines to support operational objectives.
  • Create and maintain a collaborative environment that promotes accountability, execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership support for operational initiatives and organizational priorities.
  • Other assignments and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of banking operations, branch operations, or deposit operations experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of management or leadership experience.
  • Strong operational, analytical, and process improvement skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable results.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, operational controls, and risk management practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, initiative, and sense of urgency.
