Job description

Puddle Pools is looking for a hands-on Pool Service / Operations Manager to help lead our Charleston, SC territory. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong pool service experience who is ready to step into a leadership role and help run the day-to-day operations of an active, growing pool service business.

We are looking for someone who can lead from the field, not just from behind a desk. The right person will be comfortable managing technicians, supporting customer relationships, maintaining route quality, troubleshooting pool issues, and jumping in when needed to make sure customers are taken care of.

About the Role

The Pool Service / Operations Manager will be the local leader for our Charleston market. This person will help oversee daily service operations, support technicians in the field, manage route quality, communicate with customers, and help make sure jobs are completed professionally, efficiently, and consistently.

This role is ideal for an experienced pool technician, service supervisor, route manager, startup technician, repair technician, or operations-minded field leader who understands pool service and takes pride in doing the job the right way.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day pool service operations in the Charleston territory
  • Support and manage pool technicians in the field
  • Help maintain route quality, customer satisfaction, and service consistency
  • Step in when needed for service work, technician callouts, route coverage, or customer issues
  • Perform or assist with pool cleaning, water testing, chemical balancing, troubleshooting, and basic equipment checks
  • Communicate professionally with customers and help resolve service concerns
  • Identify repair opportunities, service issues, and operational improvements
  • Help train, coach, and hold technicians accountable
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional field operation
  • Coordinate with ownership on scheduling, staffing, customer issues, and territory growth
  • Occasionally travel to Columbia, SC if business needs require it
What We’re Looking For
  • Pool service experience is required
  • Previous experience as a lead technician, route supervisor, service manager, startup technician, repair technician
  • Strong understanding of pool cleaning, water chemistry, equipment basics, and customer service
  • CPO certification strongly preferred but not required for the right individual
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
  • Comfortable leading technicians while also being hands-on in the field
  • High standards for customer service, professionalism, and quality of work
  • Positive attitude and team-first mindset
