Job Purpose and Impact
The Plant Operations Supervisor will provide operational oversight for production processes and support activities that enable safe, reliable, and efficient operations. In this role, you will supervise routine operations in your area and, when applicable, support readiness activities connected to Project Simba, including the introduction of new processes or equipment to ensure a smooth transition into stable operations. You will ensure safety, quality, and operational requirements are consistently met.
Key Accountabilities
  • Execute routine operations of assigned areas, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employees, food and feed safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor production outcomes, quantity and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications.
  • Partner with production supervisors and other functional partners (including project teams where relevant to Project Simba) to meet customer specifications, support safe startup of new processes, and align on operational timelines.
  • Administer production budget for a department, process, or shift and execute purchase orders while ensuring timely payment of invoices.
  • Develop operational plans and monitor routine operations for production processes, including supporting readiness activities related to Project Simba when new equipment or processes are introduced to ensure a safe transition into steady-state operations.
  • Develop, supervise and provide coaching to direct reports including coaching company core values and guiding principles for assigned facilities or region.
  • Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.
  • Other duties as assigned, which may include supporting site teams during commissioning or initial startup activities related to Project Simba, ensuring operational practices align with safety and quality standards. #LI-Onsite #LI-JG3

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels in the plant
  • Experience in project management, commissioning/startup leadership, and operational oversight.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, construction, procurement, project controls, and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience in production and warehouse management
