This role will focus on:
As a member of site senior leadership team, Operations ExcellenceManager is responsible to develop, train, implement, maintain andimprove processes and systems related to WMFTS Continuous Improvement Program. Theywill coordinate and drive continuous improvement throughout the commercial andoperational functions within the site.
Demonstrating exceptional people skills, you will lead, mentor, coach,inspire and empower our talented teams and individuals to continuously learn,develop and achieve their full potential.
Key accountabilities include:
  • Support/Coach/deploy a globally connected Op Ex strategy within the Devens site. Oversee, manage and facilitate across all functions to improve efficiency, streamline processes and reduce costs within the business.
  • Key Stakeholder within a global Op Ex community, providing support throughout the Devens site and WMFTS organisation on the implementation of C.I. thinking and sharing of Best Practices, helping to drive culture change and advance C.I. competencies.
  • Take strategic view of the Devens site, facilitate the creation of an Enterprise-wide Op Ex culture and use CI methodologies to drive core/strategic processes to respond to the needs of customers with minimal waste and improve Lead Times to Customer
  • Support effective and consistent Policy Deployment by cascading Corporate and Divisional objectives throughout all functions.
  • Support the creation/deployment of training standards for the site, to ensure a standardised approach is delivered.
  • Coach leadership (at all levels) through the Operational Excellence Roadmap focused on delivering business results and building competency in C.I. methods, using and practicing the use of C.I. methodology and respective tools. Facilitate large-scale, cross-functional kaizen events
  • Focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, reduce cost and improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share via the use of continuous improvement methodologies, conducting regular reviews of performance.
  • Develop C.I. support teams from within the site to ensure that our strategy identifies business opportunities and delivers measurable business results. Build bridges within and across the Company's divisional and functional organizations to identify and drive new opportunities for Devens.
  • Assist with Product Development/VAVE for selected programs working with global cross-functional teams that are focused on improving customer experience in new/existing products to deliver efficient and cost-effective solutions
  • Provide business cases for prioritising high-impact opportunities establishing links to strategies and sustainable process improvement
  • Collaborate with all functions within Supply, engineering, and commercial teams as well as external experts to support strategic direction for WMFTS and translate it into actionable goals.
  • Drive harmonization of systems, processes and procedures within the Deven's site to implement a common way of working.
  • Participate in improvement projects within the site where Operational Excellence should be involved.
  • Report Op Ex performance - Provide Clear monthly status regards to activities/risks/mitigations relating to the Devens site
  • Drive effective on-going communications throughout the organisation. Drive culture change and advance C.I. competencies, provide clear and regular communication regarding Deven's goals and objectives. Provide a system for measurement of results.
  • Develop infrastructure tools and supporting materials, include training to support Deven's Op Ex initiatives. Conduct workshops and other training programs that foster the cross functional deployment of C.I. Methodology.
  • Identify and ensure delivery of Improvement projects for the Devens site which contribute towards achieving WMFTS overall business targets.
  • Strive for a common way of working within Continuous Improvement globally.
  • Other duties as designed

Skills/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business administration, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Continuous improvement or Operations Excellence Manager
  • Strong proficiency in process improvement methodologies and continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Lean/Six Sigma/VAVE tools
  • Any experience working within a highly regulated manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

This position offers a salary range of ($101000 - $151000). Final salary offers are determined by multiple factors, including education, experience, internal equity, geographic location, and the candidate's expertise, and therefore may vary from the range listed. For roles based outside Massachusetts, the applicable salary range may be lower.
