Job description

Pay: $20 per hour - $22 per hour




Summary:

The Catering Supervisor at American Dining Creations is responsible for overseeing and coordinating catering operations, leading a team of event staff, and maintaining high standards of overall event success. Your focus will be on creating memorable experiences for our guests while efficiently managing resources and fostering a positive work environment, while working in collaboration with the on-site Catering Director.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise front and back of the house day to day catering procedures.
  • Serve as a contact for catering services prior to and after events, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Oversee delivery, setup, breakdown, and execution of catering events.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of logistics, food preparation, and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement service standards and procedures to uphold quality and consistency across all events.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of catering event staff, including servers, bartenders, drivers, and support staff.
  • Monitor the quality of food, portion control and dietary provisions as requested.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
  • Field and resolve any requests or challenges that may arise during events, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote catering services.
  • Take inventory for catering equipment, supplies, and keep all catering items in top condition.
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' catering and event planning experience in hotels, conference centers, private clubs, universities or similar environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, detail oriented, and customer focused.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and service regulations.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and innovations.
  • Proficient with computer skills including Microsoft Office, CATERTRAX and other online order systems.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule that may include weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs, push and pull heavy catering cart, bend, climb stairs, stand, and walk for entire scheduled shift.
