Job description

The Mixing Operator is responsible for operating equipment in the Mixing Department and preparing products for production. This position performs batching, product standardization, equipment cleaning, CIP procedures, and required documentation while following food safety, quality, and production standards.The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, able to work well with a team, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.Primary ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor all equipment within the Mixing Department.Prepare, batch, and standardize products according to production specifications.Accurately complete required production, batching, and quality documentation.Perform manual equipment cleaning and automated Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures.Obtain raw milk samples for quality testing.Weigh and prepare ingredients for batches under the direction of the Assistant Supervisor.Monitor equipment and product conditions and report abnormalities or concerns.Follow all food safety, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.Assist with training new employees on Mixing Department procedures and equipment.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Assist other team members as needed to support production.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Must be dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly Must be able to perform physical duties associated with working in a manufacturing environment.Candidates must successfully complete required pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical fitness testing.Job-specific training will be provided.Preferred Qualifications1–2+ years of experience in manufacturing, food production, dairy processing, or a related production environment.Previous experience with batching, mixing, CIP systems, sanitation, or food processing equipment is preferred.ScheduleDay ShiftMonday–Friday with rotating weekends8:00 AM–4:00 PM Compensation:Your journey begins with training pay starting at $19.40 per hour, with the potential to reach $22.90 per hour after mastering all skill levels and experience.Benefits:At Gossner Foods, we care about our team members and offer a range of attractive benefits, including: FREE HEALTH INSURANCE FOR EMPLOYEES!Health, Dental, Vision, HSA with employer match up to $1,000KPaid time off.Holiday pay incentivesWeekend pay +2.50/hr.401k with Company contributions.Quarterly bonuses to reward your hard work.Onsite cafeteria to keep you fueled and energized. Don't miss out on this opportunity to become a part of our cheese-loving family and help create the finest cheese products in the industry.
