Job description

BATCH MIXER SUMMARY:

  • $13-$15/hour 
  • Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Mix substances together to produce a standardized product of rubber

BATCH MIXER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operate machinery that mixes and grinds raw materials to produce compounds.
  • Follow standard instructions to measure or weigh polymers, carbon black, curatives and other substances into the machinery.
  • Check for consistency in various batches and measure the viscosity of the mixtures.
  • Work with QC to take samples of the compound and turn them over to for testing.
  • Transfer materials, supplies, or products between work areas, using moving equipment or hand tools.
  • Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands to ensure conformance to established standards.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, using hand tools.
  • Complete paperwork about the batches.
  • Check the calibration of the scales daily. 
  • Operate Forklift as needed.

BATCH MIXER REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 year of previous Manufacturing experience
  • 1 year of Forklift Operation 
  • RF Scanner
  • Willing to train the right candidate
