Functions/Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, the Combo Operator will have the ability to perform several job functions in the facility.

Job duties:

Ability to cross-train in multiple classifications and fulfill responsibilities based on department and plant needs. Required classifications are the following: 

    • Special Batch Mixer/Filler
    • Batch Mixer/Filler Blending
    • Batch Mixer/Filler UV
    • Pumper
    • Certified Tub Washer
    • Forklift
  • Ability to monitor and record indicators to ensure correct operations (pressure readings, temperature readings, agitator speeds, etc)
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Basic computer skills (Tablet / HMI / Scanners / Labels)
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, and comprehension)
  • Train on and complete three (3) OJTs for all required job clarifications within nine (9) months
  • Maintain status and certifications in each classification.

Additional Notes:

 

  • Combo Operators can cross-train on regular time or overtime.
  • Combo Operators must be able to train and work in all required classifications.
  • Recommended training hours to complete OJT for each of the required classifications:
    • Special Batch Mixer/Filler and Special Batch Mixer/Filler-Adhesive (160 hours)
    • Batch Mixer/Filler Blending (160 hours)
    • Batch Mixer/Filler UV (160 hours)
    • Pumper (160 hours)
    • Certified Tub Washer (240 hours)
    • Forklift (40 hours)
  • Combo Operators must be trained on a minimum of three (3) OJT certifications within nine (9) months.
  • Combo Operators must follow plant guidelines to retain certifications in all classifications.
  • Assignments to other departments will be voluntary and determined by seniority. In the absence of sufficient volunteers, required assignments will be filled by affected employees within each job classification in inverse seniority order. Subsequent assignment needs will be filled by resuming the required overtime list from the previous overtime event.
  • Combo Operators will follow normal guidelines in their department with respect to daily and weekend overtime. Weekend work in other departments will be voluntary.
