Job Description
We have partnered with a leading food manufacturer that specializes in the processing and distribution of food products and packaging of various private-label liquids and related food items for food companies, grocery stores and restaurants. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Batcher to join the team.
The Batcher is responsible for accurately weighing, measuring, and mixing raw ingredients according to specified formulas to create batches used in our food production process. The ideal candidate has experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and can work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Location: Riverside, CA
Payrate: $19.00/hr-$20.00/hr. DOE
Temp to hire- 3rd shift (7pm-3:45am) Sunday - Thursday (OT as needed)
Key Responsibilities of the Batcher:
- Read and interpret batch sheets and formulation instructions.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or formulas.
- Operate mixing, blending, and batching equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area and equipment.
- Record batch details and ingredient lot numbers accurately.
- Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure product consistency and compliance. Follow safety procedures and report any hazards or malfunctions immediately.
- Ensure inventory levels of raw materials are monitored and reported.
- Adhere to all GMP, FDA, and company guidelines
Qualifications for the Batcher:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing required.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and recording.
- Comfortable working in a production environment with exposure to food ingredients.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment with physical activity, including walking and occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Primarily desk-based with regular use of a computer. Occasional exposure to elevated noise levels and seasonal temperature fluctuations in warehouse areas.
- Must adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
