Job description

BLENDER

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Shift: 3rd Shift
  • Hours: Sun-Thurs, 11:45pm-8:15am

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)

Supply manufacturing with raw material to produce components.

  • Oversee the blending Operation:
    • Implement and train employees to SOPโ€™S and processes in blending area.
    • Review finite schedule and prepare accordingly for demands.
    • Maintain a 24/7 supply chain of raw materials through a kan-ban requisitioning process for the production floor in a 5-day calendar schedule.
    • Maintain inventory accuracy over full and partial inventory through IQMS, designation, and QTY.
    • Ensure proper materials are supplied using first in first out, lot accuracy, item number and material calendar sheet against work order requirements.
  • Determine material quantity, assign a lot number, print label, review information and scan to correct location.
  • Train floor attendants to return material by properly verifying material, inspect for contamination and identification; weigh material, edit label with correct quantity, and return to location using scanner.
  • Track material usage thru daily cycle counts, report concerns, and investigate root causes.
  • Back up Receiving area for silo material
  • Make inventory adjustments in IQM
  • Verifying correct blenders are being used and filters are being changed as required.
  • Perform monthly assigned preventive maintenance.
  • Be able to effectively operate equipment as required.
  • Manage Regrind area, load trailer with scrap, adjust weight and add label.
  • Follow knowledge of commonly used blending concepts and practices for cleanliness and organization.
  • Adhere to safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Wear company issued personal protection equipment (PPE) such as uniforms, gloves, masks, hairnets as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
    • One to three months related experience and/or training.

    Certifications or Licenses:

    • Forklift Certified

    • Work with minimal direct supervision.
    • Work in a team environment.
    • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
    • Write simple correspondence.
    • Apply basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Effectively communicate / present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
    • Effectively communicate with supervisor.
    • The ability to read, write, and comprehend information provided to them.
